The Meade 6.4mm Series 4000 Super Plössl eyepiece is great for viewing many different celestial objects, and is even an affordable option too! The 4-element design, 52-degree apparent field of view, and special coatings reveal sharp images, and blackened lens edges keep internal reflections at bay.
The Meade Series 4000 Super Plössl eyepiece has a soft rubber eyecup to keep stray light from porch lights, etc. from entering the optics. Designed to utilize the very latest in optical glass types, the Meade 4-element Super Plossl is an excellent general-purpose eyepiece. For observing hairline lunar and planetary detail, splitting close double stars, or for resolving faint nebulosity in deep space, the Meade Super Plossl optimizes the performance of any telescope type. It also operates well in conjunction with the air-spaced design of the Meade #140 2x Apochromatic Barlow.
