Celestron's NexStar+ AZ Hand Control with USB is included on all current alt-azimuth Celestron computerized telescopes, such as the SLT, LCM, SE, NexStar Evolution, CPC, and CPC Deluxe models. The NexStar controller features the ability to upgrade its software or control your telescope through 3rd party software via the mini-USB port located along the bottom edge of the controller. You provide the mini-USB cable.

With the push of a button, you can access a huge database of over 40,000 celestial objects and automatically slew to those objects with your telescope. Objects from popular catalogs, such as the Messier, NGC, Caldwell, and SAO Brightest Stars are included in the database, and so are the planets, of course. Not sure what to look at? Use the Tour Mode, and you’ll be shown a selection of the most popular objects for the time and date you are observing!

The Celestron NexStar Plus controller has a dual-line, 16 character LCD screen with adjustable backlighting. It includes many setup conveniences like SkyAlign, customizable max slew speed, programmable slew limits, and more. The NexStar + hand control includes USB Flash Upgradeable Technology, allowing users to upgrade its software with the Celestron Firmware Manager, which can be downloaded for free at Celestron.com.
